Team,
To begin immediately, when researching claims of shipping expired product to an Affiliate, start using the STAGED DATE. Do not use the Date Loaded.
Operations responsibility is to stage the shipment with enough freshness to meet their minimum. After they’ve done that, the Affiliates are responsible for getting quotes and assigning a freight forwarder for Transportation. Once we receive that information from the Affiliate, we contact the forwarder and the pickup is scheduled. In the case of these India PO’s, it took 12 days just to get the forwarder information. This moved the shipments freshness from good (at staged) to now under the minimum requirement of freshness that dropped with the PO. Basically it ran out of freshness while staged.
Below is an example of how to calculate the staged, picked, and shipped. Please ONLY use the staged date to determine if valid or not.
Please advise if you have any questions.
Thanks.
[Expiration Date minus Date Staged] will give you the days of freshness left. That’s the number you’ll use to determine if valid or not.
I will add this to the Solutions tab in Freshdesk for your reference.
